So here is the situation:
Ubah and I are living in Addis Ababa right now. We have a condo rented through April 17th. I am on my tourist visa now, so I legally cannot work or volunteer for anything. We have been going to the church where we got married, and it has been a great blessing. We have met some wonderful people there. My parents had been here for the wedding and had brought us a lot of things for around the home and food/ snacks which was great! God has been providing for us all the time.
We are currently trying to figure out all of the paper work for Ubah to get a visa for the United States. We are unsure how long the process will take, or even if it is a guarantee that she will receive the visa… so that is complicated, but we are trusting God in the process. We don’t know exactly where He will lead us next. If she doesn’t get the visa, it is pretty obvious that we won’t be going to the U.S. at this time ;-) haha. I am also trying to apply for an English teaching job in Taiwan. That would put us closer to our parents, and give Ubah the ability to grow much closer with them. Also, we would be getting paychecks actually for the job, and then good health care. We know that God will provide for us either way though. We are also looking up orphanages and other ministries around the world that are looking for people to come and help. Even though those are likely to be unpaid, again, we know that God will take care of all of our needs. Currently we have been looking into Thailand and the Philippines mostly. If any of you have any ideas or know of any organizations looking for people, let us know! Mostly, we ask for your prayers. At this time, we are just seeking God’s leading and provision in our lives.
Blessings to all of you!
Stephen and Ubah
